Texas Rural African-American Heritage Grants Program
The Preservation Texas Rural African-American Heritage Grants Program is providing matching grants of up to $75,000 to support rehabilitation work at the following 10 historic African-American institutional and commercial buildings in towns with populations of under 50,000.
This program has been made possible by a $750,000 Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grant from the National Park Service. As part of the program, each site will be added to the National Register of Historic Places and will benefit from important investments to ensure that they survive.
